Matching new deck addition to old

We recently purchased a home with a deck that had at one time been painted brown and does not appear to have been well maintained. We also just added on an extension for a grilling deck. We've cleaned and power washed the old deck but there is still old paint in some spots and the wood is grey and dry. Is there any way to get the two to match short of painting? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

FYI - we live in the Midwest so we experience extreme temps - 100+ in the summer and -40+ in the winter with lots of snow.

Using a solid stain would be the best way to match this. You will need to let the new wood weather: https://www.deckstainhelp.com/staining-a-new-deck/

And remove the paint off the deck by sanding: https://www.deckstainhelp.com/how-to-sand-your-wood-deck/
