Best deck stain for damp wood?
The only deck stain brand that can be used on damp wood is Restore-A-Deck. Most deck stains are not appropriate for use on damp wood. Almost all deck stains will clearly state that the deck must be dry to avoid early deck stain failure. It is generally best to wait for dry weather and ensure that the weather will remain dry until the deck stain has cured. If you must apply deck stain to damp wood use Restore-A-Deck solid deck stains or semi-transparent penetrating deck stains.
