Vote For Your Favorite Deck Stain

We appreciate you visiting Deckstainhelp.com as we continue to be your go-to source for the latest in deck restoration news and trending topics through 2024.

We have our favorite stains and offer reviews based on this but not everyone has had the same results. We cannot expect our top-rated stains to perform flawlessly in all scenarios nor would Behr Supreme fail in all scenarios. We do suspect it does in most cases though

Please vote for your favorite wood and deck stain.

#As an article and comment contributor to the site, Scott has been around the pressure washing industry since attending college. In 1993 he started his first company called Oakland Pressure Wash specializing in exterior pressure washing and deck staining. That company evolved into OPW L.L.C. shortly thereafter concentrating more on exterior wood and deck restoration. Scott and his Deck Cleaning Michigan company have restored over 10,000 decks in the Metro Detroit area since the early years. He has become an authority in the deck restoration industry and has contributed to numerous wood restoration forums and informative sites. All the products he suggests through this site are sold through online sites and in retail stores, allowing the consumer to choose their own means of purchase. Scott’s eCommerce sites do sell many top brands he endorses and if you appreciate any of the help he has offered then feel free to purchase from one of them.

Used Defy Extreme Deck Stain last year on new deck boards.. Followed all manufacturers recommendations and in less than one year in N.C. our finish has failed with mildew and loss of water resistance. What a waste of time and lots of $! Not the only unsatisfied customer logging on with complaints! Buyers beware!

After doing all the research and looking at you tube videos, I decided to clean my deck with Restore a Deck, and then stain with the Defy Extreme stain, natural pine color. I stained on a Saturday. It was about 60 degrees, sunny and mild, and a bit on the cold side. On Sunday the deck looked incredible! IT is supposed to rain Monday, today and so hopefully that won't be a problem. The results are amazing! The deck went from a weathered gray to a rich brown, elegant look.
