When dealing with a deck that has an old failing deck stain on it, a simple wood cleaning is not enough. In this case, a deck stain stripper must be used to emulsify and soften the old stain so it can be removed more easily. Wood stain strippers are more aggressive than a typical wood cleaner.
I have an old deck coated with a Behr cedar stain and sealer. It is like a film flaking now. Best stripper for this? Thanks!

No vertical surfaces. I can use the restore a deck /brightener kit and add the booster. Do this in sun or shade?
Use the Gel as well. Allows it to dwell longer on the floors. Shade is easier so it doesn’t dry out.
